Take a flight of fancy with 2018 Pajarito Gran Reserva Merlot, a magnificent red from the heart of one of Chile’s oldest wine regions, Maule Valley. Gorgeous in the glass, this Merlot is ruby red with vibrant purple glimmers. Upon opening, inviting aromas of red fruits and plums with delicate smoky hints greet the nose. The palate is full-bodied with strong fruit flavor notes interwoven with vanilla and toasted oak. Luscious tannins create a long, elegant finish. Maule Valley has diverse terroir and a Mediterranean climate, with cool ocean breezes tempering warm, sunny days. A long growing season allows grapes to ripen slowly, leading to wines with concentrated flavor. This Merlot was crafted by Cremaschi Furlotti, a 5th-generation family winery. Known for crafting distinctive and elegant wines, Cremaschi Furlotti is also committed to sustainability and protecting the environment; it was one of the first wineries to be accredited with the Wines of Chile Sustainable Certification.
