From a family-owned estate in a quaint French village comes 2019 Château La Billette Bordeaux Supérieur, an indulgent Bordeaux red blend. Presenting as crimson-colored in the glass, this Merlot-driven wine offers a seductive bouquet of red and black fruit notes accented with hints of violet. The palate is layered with complexity, possessing powerful tannic structure. Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes were picked at perfect maturity from vines tended to with the utmost care by a winemaker who grows her five-hectare vineyard like her garden. This unique red is classified as Bordeaux Supérieur, a high-quality distinction indicating that the wine has met certain standards while being produced. Bordeaux Supérieur reds tend to be more concentrated in flavor, which you’ll taste in this Merlot-Cab blend. 2019 Château La Billette Bordeaux Supérieur is a beautiful choice to uncork with savory dishes, such as prime rib, rack of lamb, and chicken fricassee. It will also complement tapas, Brie, and roasted vegetables.
