Sip on a hidden gem from Bordeaux with our 2021 Sempiternité Bordeaux Rouge. This French red boasts a powerful, layered nose of black and red currant followed by floral hints of violet. Secondary vegetal notes of green bell pepper and thyme mingle with ripe red fruit to form a wine with a big personality. Firm, dense tannins contrast medium acid to complete a classic, rustic French red wine. Originating from Bordeaux, this 2021 Rouge benefits from the gravel and clay soils you’ll find in this historic French region. Deep deposits of sand and pebbles form a varied terroir with high porosity. Low yields lead to high juice-to-skin ratios creating the sweetest grapes that make up the perfect foundation for a bold red blend like this one. If you’re seeking a tasty partner for this Bordeaux Rouge, cook up some meat ragout, bolognese, or loaded sweet potato.
