Aquael Turbo Internal Filter

The TURBO filters combine the advantages of internal filters with the versatility of external filters, offering a uniquely modular solution for aquarium water cleaning and aeration.

This quiet, energy-efficient internal filter provides double filtration—mechanical and biological—straight out of the box. An additional container is factory-equipped with biological filtration media and the media containers can be freely combined to create the required filter configuration (for example by adding media for chemical filtration). It is compatible with AQUAEL’s range of biological and chemical cartridges (BioCeraMAX, ZeoMAX, CarboMAX, NitroMAX, PhosMAX series) for tailored water treatment.

The sealed rotor chamber ensures high efficiency at low power consumption, while special shock-absorbing suction cups dampen vibrations transmitted to the aquarium glass for muffled operation. Larger units are fitted with a ceramic rotor axis for even quieter operation and enhanced durability.

Thanks to the modular design, the filter media containers are easily expandable and can be filled with any filter medium as required. TURBO filters can be installed in multiple configurations—sponge only, container only, or container plus sponge—so you can choose the setup that best suits your aquarium’s needs.

The starter kit includes:

• a container for loose filter media (capacity varies by model),
• a BioCeraMAX biological cartridge,
• a sponge selected for long-lasting mechanical filtration performance

Additional containers for filter media can be purchased separately and joined in columns using the specially designed connection system. Transform the filter into a customized, high-performance unit with unique filtration parameters carefully tailored to your aquarium.
