Ardbeg Drum is the 2019 Ardbeg Day special release — a celebratory Islay single malt matured in ex-rum casks that brings a colourful Caribbean twist to Ardbeg Day, ranging from smoked bananas to honey, conifer, and a sweet smoky finish.
Ardbeg Drum uses ex-rum casks to add tropical sweetness and ester-rich character of Caribbean production to the classic Ardbeg peat base. Browse all Ardbeg at Wooden Cork.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Ardbeg Drum the same as the Drum Committee Release?
No — the standard release is at 52% ABV from ex-rum casks. The Committee Release is the cask strength version (55.9% ABV) available exclusively to Ardbeg Committee members. Both use the same ex-rum cask Caribbean-twist approach but at different bottling strengths.
