Bold, unapologetic, and layered — Stubbornness embraces the classic richness of English barleywine while staking its own claim. It pours a deep copper with ruby undertones and a creamy, persistent head. On the nose, you’ll find toffee and caramel, melded with warm sherry and dried stone fruit — think figs, cherries, and dark raisins. A subtle nutty and toasted malt counterpoint weaves through.
On the palate, Stubbornness is full-bodied yet balanced. Caramel and toffee lead, followed by waves of dark fruit, sherry warmth, and a restrained hop bitterness that keeps the sweetness in check. Hints of oak, gentle spice, and a warming alcohol presence linger into a long, smooth finish.
