From the heart of Kentucky comes Colonel E.H. Taylor Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey, a bold expression crafted in honor of one of bourbon’s greatest pioneers. Distilled and aged under the strict Bottled-in-Bond Act standards that Colonel Edmund Haynes Taylor Jr. helped establish in 1897, this rye embodies authenticity and tradition in every sip. Made from a mash bill rich in rye grain, it delivers an unmistakable spice balanced with layers of sweet caramel, dried fruit, and toasted oak.
At 100 proof, its full-bodied character opens with vibrant pepper and baking spice, unfolding into hints of vanilla and butterscotch before finishing long, warm, and satisfyingly dry. Every drop speaks to craftsmanship, aged in charred oak barrels for years to achieve its complexity and depth.
Perfect neat to appreciate its robust flavors, yet equally stunning in a classic cocktail, this rye captures the soul of Kentucky whiskey-making and the enduring legacy of Colonel Taylor’s vision.
