This set of four hand-painted Portuguese ceramic plates is the kind of thing you hang once and never take down. Each plate is different — the floral motif varies, the reticulated border varies — yet they share the same fresh palette of two-toned pinks, the same high-shine glaze, the same swirled darker pink border, and the same unmistakable character of Portuguese artisan pottery at its most charming. Together they feel collected rather than matched, which is exactly the right feeling for a wall grouping.

The reticulation — the pierced, lace-like border — is the detail that elevates these from decorative plates to genuine craft objects. This technique requires skill and patience; the clay must be cut while still wet, piece by piece, without cracking or distorting the form. Each plate is backstamped Made in Portugal and numbered in blue paint. Pre-drilled hanging holes with wire already attached — ready to hang straight out of the box.
