El Jolgorio Sierrudo Mezcal is a distinguished offering from the renowned El Jolgorio Special Release series. Crafted by the esteemed mezcalero, Don José Cortés, this exceptional mezcal showcases the distinct character of the Sierrudo agave. Sierrudo is a sub-variety of Agave Americana, closely akin to Arroqueño and Coyote, and it is known for its remarkable size and high sugar content. The agave used for this mezcal takes an impressive 13-15 years to mature, resulting in a spirit of unparalleled depth and complexity. Grown in a semi-wild environment in Agua del Guaje, San Pedro Lachigoba, San Carlos Yautepec, this mezcal is a testament to the artistry of traditional mezcal production.
