This is a pair of F51 Lounge Arm Chairs, originally designed by Walter Gropius in 1920. These particular examples were produced by Tecta in Germany in the 1990s. The design is an iconic Bauhaus composition, defined by a cubic solid wood frame with clean right angles and floating upholstered seat and back cushions. These examples feature black lacquered wood frames paired with thick, structured cushions upholstered in black leather.
The listed price includes both chairs to be sold together as a pair.
Each chair measures 27.5 inches deep, 27.5 inches wide, and 27.5 inches high, with a seat height of 16.5 inches. These pieces do show wear consistent with age and previous use including creasing and wear to the leather. Overall, the chairs remain in good vintage condition. Please see photos.
