Taste
The bourbon opens with a classic and inviting nose of caramelized sugar, vanilla bean, and toasted oak, often accompanied by a distinct hint of cherry cordial or dark fruit. On the palate, it is rich and full-bodied, arriving with a creamy mouthfeel that highlights baking spices like cinnamon and nutmeg. As the sip develops, layers of dark chocolate, roasted nuts, and deep oak grain emerge, balanced by the natural sweetness of toffee and maple syrup. Frank August was founded by Johnathan Crocker, a former fashion executive, with the goal of re-contextualizing what it means to be an American spirit.
