About the Cuvée

Hennessy VS Gold Limited Edition cognac is a harmonious blend of over 40 eaux-de-vie from the four esteemed cognac-producing regions, reflecting a refined collaboration with the NBA. Cloaked in a luxurious golden robe, it unveils delicate aromas of sweet fruits and nuts, finishing with a subtle hint of vanilla. The eaux-de-vie in this blend are aged between two and a half to five years, exceeding the minimum legal requirements and offering a remarkably elegant sensory experience. Recognized for its gracefully curved bottle, elongated neck, and timeless label, Hennessy VS is celebrated by celebrities worldwide, solidifying its status as one of the most iconic bottles on the market. This limited edition forsakes the traditional gift box in favor of its exquisite golden attire. In a step toward eco-responsibility, Hennessy presents this bottle in a magnificent golden robe, resembling a luxurious gift package.

About the Estate

Founded by Richard Hennessy, an Irish officer in Louis XV's army, the Hennessy cognac distillery quickly gained popularity in the United States, just 18 years after its independence. The Prince of Wales, who would later become George IV of Great Britain, was a cognac enthusiast who requested Hennessy to craft a "very superior old pale" eau de vie, leading to the widely recognized abbreviation VSOP—Very Superior Old Pale. Maurice Hennessy later established the XO (eXtra Old) designation, initially meant for family and friends, which has since become a global benchmark for cognacs. The term "axe in hand" symbolizes Richard Hennessy, who earned French citizenship after 12 years of service in the French army.
