Lotus Pods are part of the seed head of the Lotus plant also known as Nelumbo Nucifera. The Lotus Pods have several small holes / burrows where shrimp can hide and find food. The properties of the Lotus Pods are similar to the effects of Catappa Leaves as they reduce the pH, help prevent diseases and also look decorative in the aquarium.
