Some freestanding open wardrobe closets are strictly functional. They’re there—stuck in a bedroom corner, tossed at an end of a hallway—to catch overspill from a closet bursting at the seams. And while it’s important for these portable closets functionally to store clothes, can’t they also be a bit stylish in the process? The smooth matte white finish on the steel frame of this open wardrobe seems to think so. With rounded edges and an asymmetrical frame, this freestanding closet nods toward antique sensibilities for a look that suggests a fun countryside chic. And with four shelves and a sturdy hanging rod, this piece is sure to solve storage needs while scoring some style points.
