Metaxa was founded in 1888 in Athens, Greece by Spyros Metaxa — a visionary who created a spirit unlike any other. Neither brandy nor liqueur, Metaxa is a unique amber spirit crafted from a proprietary blend of aged Muscat wines, aged wine distillates, and Mediterranean botanicals, delivering incomparable aromatic smoothness in every drop.
About Metaxa 12 Stars
The pinnacle of the Metaxa range, 12 Stars is made with wine distillates aged in both medium and heavily toasted oak casks. The time spent in heavily toasted casks brings out pronounced oaky and smoky notes, adding depth and complexity to the spirit’s already rich character.
Tasting Notes
Radiant amber color. Very complex character with subtle aromatic notes of toasted oak, orange peel, and spices. On the palate, spicy with dried fruit — smooth, rich, and lingering. A spirit of remarkable depth and elegance.

Enjoy neat, on ice, or in crafted cocktails. An exceptional digestif and a distinguished gift for any occasion.
