Portafilter Spring - 1.2 mm
A thicker, 1.2 mm diameter portafilter spring used to secure basket into the portafilter body. Better suited to manufacturers like Astoria and Gaggia, whose milled spring channel runs wider than most other brands.
SPECIFICATIONS
- Wire diameter: 1.2 mm
COMPATIBILITY
- Works with: ridgeless portafilter baskets on brands with a wider milled spring channel, such as Astoria and Gaggia
INSTALLATION
Simple DIY replacement, pry the old spring out and press the new one into the milled channel.
PRO TIPS
- If a standard 1.0 mm spring keeps popping out of its groove instead of holding tension, your portafilter likely has a wider milled channel, step up to this 1.2 mm spring rather than fighting one that's too thin for the pocket.
