The Rare Character Limited Release (RCLR) 2026 Batch 2 Straight Bourbon is a highly structured, cask-strength small batch whiskey bottled at 119.56 proof. This expression represents a meticulous multi-state marriage of straight bourbons aged between 7 and 9 years. The blender utilized low-yield Indiana barrels as a rich foundation, masterfully blending them with two distinct Kentucky mashbills to achieve a deeply layered profile. Unfiltered and uncut, this limited Q1 2026 rollout focuses heavily on structural balance and a weighty mouthfeel, making it a standout selection for collectors and high-proof enthusiasts alike.
On the nose, this bourbon opens with dessert-forward aromas of fresh orange zest, toasted marshmallow, and cinnamon graham crackers. The palate transitions into sweet, fruit-driven layers of honeycrisp apple, cherry cola, and ripe raspberry, all cushioned by a rich texture reminiscent of fresh whipped cream. The experience concludes with a long, warming finish heavily driven by barrel characteristics, leaving lingering notes of pungent clove, freshly grated nutmeg, and seasoned oak.
