Repashy Igapó Explorer Forager Gel Premix for Rainforest Fish (70.4 oz 4.4 lbs Jar)

When the rainy season hits, vast stretches of tropical and subtropical rainforests worldwide are flooded. Countless fish species such as tetras, catfishes, loaches, barbs, knifefishes, cichlids, livebearers, killifishes, labyrinthfishes, rainbowfishes, gobies, gudgeons, and oddballs follow the waters flowing into the forests. These “rainforest explorers” are rewarded with a rich bounty of terrestrial and flying insects, other invertebrates, nuts, fruits, seeds, legumes, herbs, and greens; all now in reach because of the elevated water levels.

Our formula for all Rainforest Species. Contains Invertebrates, Nuts, Fruits, Seeds, Legumes, Herbs and Greens.

DIRECTIONS: Bring water to a boil on stove, in microwave or kettle. Pour boiling water into a bowl and immediately stir in powder (1 part powder to 2-3 parts water). Let cool or immediately pour into mold. Gel will set at room temperature. Cut into pieces or make into a slow release Jerky. Once made, gel should be treated as fresh food and can be vented and refrigerated for up to two weeks, or freezer for up to six months.

JERKY: Prepare gel as above, pour into deep container, and then cut gel into ¼ inch thick slices of desired size. Completely dry in oven or dehydrator at 150 °F (65 °C). (8-12 hours typical).
