J. Rieger & Co. Kansas City Whiskey is a blended American whiskey from J. Rieger & Co. in Kansas City, Missouri — a revival of the pre-Prohibition Kansas City Whiskey style that combines bourbon, rye, light corn whiskey, and a touch of sherry for a uniquely layered, slightly sweet, complex blend.
Kansas City Whiskey is a historical category indigenous to pre-Prohibition Missouri — a blended whiskey style with the sherry component setting it apart from straight bourbon or rye traditions. J. Rieger & Co. revived the original family recipe in 2014 after a roughly 95-year hiatus, making it the contemporary benchmark for the category.
