Seachem Laboratories Acid Buffer is a non-phosphate solution designed to reduce pH levels and work in tandem with Alkaline Buffer. These buffers are ideal for planted aquariums or hard water conditions where phosphate-based buffers might cause algae growth or water cloudiness. Acid Buffer effectively adjusts pH and maintains stability between 6.0 and 8.0 when paired with Alkaline Buffer. By lowering pH, it also transforms carbonate alkalinity (KH) into usable CO2 for aquatic plants.
