What Our Gearhead Experts Are Saying:

"I swapped this cassette onto my gravel setup for more climbing range, and it’s been rock solid. Shifting is crisp even under load, and I love the versatility of the 11-40T option. It's light where it counts but durable enough to take a beating. After a few hundred miles, it still runs smooth and quiet."

Whether we're grinding up a long gravel climb or bombing technical singletrack, the Shimano HG CS-M8000 Cassette delivers the precise gear we need, right when we need it. Built to balance performance and longevity, this cassette is a dependable upgrade or replacement for any Shimano or SRAM 11-speed drivetrain.

With Rhythm Step gear progression that eliminates big jumps between cogs, it helps us maintain cadence through changing terrain. A smart mix of lightweight aluminum and durable steel cogs keeps things light without compromising strength, and wide-range options like 11–40T, 11–42T, and 11–46T give us the gearing we need to spin up steep grades or hammer flats without a second thought.
