The warm climate, rolling hills, and gravelly soils of Alexander Valley make it the ideal growing region for this red grape wine, where morning fog and hot summers allow for long growing seasons. Aged for 22 months in French oak barrels, this SIMI wine is structured and elegant with ripe fruit flavors and balanced acidity. Firm, ripe tannins and a full-bodied, velvety finish make this California wine perfect for a dinner party; pair it with grilled meats, complex vegetable dishes, and pasta, or enjoy a glass of wine on its own.
