Smokey, peated whisky — it’s what unites peat-heads, and it's what sets peat-heads apart.
Smokehead shares that appetite for the 'alternative' and that insatiable curiosity drives them to question convention and unearth a more interesting path. It’s this independent edge that keeps them fresh and always looking for new ways to mix up the everyday.
When the Islay whisky rebel meets its rum cask cousin, the familiar peaty punch of Smokehead is given a sweet and furious Caribbean jolt — is that marshmallow and bacon?
Producer's Tasting Notes
Nose: Hanging out in Caribbean rum casks gives this Smokehead a jolt of immense smoke and fiery peat, followed by soothing citrus and tropical fruits.
Palate: A face-down, fearlessly rich and peaty punch, thick with oils and bracing sea spray, tempered by dried spices and banana.
Finish: Notes of caramel, cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla add a delicate contrast to the lingering smokiness.
