Big Level Bourbon is a wheated bourbon 100% mashed, distilled, aged, proofed, and bottled at the Smooth Ambler distillery in West Virginia.

Like the Scotch-Irish farmer-distillers and settlers who forged western Virginia from the surrounding jagged hills, we at Smooth Ambler have built our homes and lives here. From grinding our own carefully selected regional grains, to painstakingly choosing each barrel that makes its way into a batch, to labeling and signing each bottle, careful and personal attention to detail exists in everything we do at Smooth Ambler. Nose| Opens with sweet dark fruit, followed by buttery corn, slight floral vanilla,  burnt caramel, peppery oak and prickly alcohol.
Palate| The palate opens viscous with sweet dark winter fruits, bitter deep caramel and a dash of herbaceous spice and roast nuts.
Finish| The finish is long and warming, opening with a dash of warming oak spice which fades to more dark fruits, roasted nuts and floral vanilla leaving an aftertaste of herbaceous and dry oak.
