Strawberry Belt Sour is a tart, fruity, candy-inspired sour ale brewed for anyone who remembers crushing strawberry belt candies by the handful. Golden Ale extract, lactose, lactic acid, US-05 yeast, and sour strawberry belt candies come together for a bright, playful beer with strawberry flavor, tangy sweetness, and a smooth finish.
- Candy-inspired sour character with tart strawberry flavor and nostalgic sweetness
- Bright acidity from lactic acid for that sour-style bite
- Smooth body from lactose, helping round out the tartness
- Bold fruited profile with a strong 6.4% ABV finish
Tart, fruity, and seriously fun, this sour ale brings strawberry candy flavor into a grown-up homebrew.
Contains Lactose: This recipe includes lactose, a milk-derived sugar. In a finished 2-gallon batch, that equals about 0.25 oz, or 7 g, per 16 oz pint. If you are sensitive to lactose or avoid milk-derived ingredients, select a lactose-free recipe instead.
