Stroh Spiced Rum 80 Original 160 750mL
Stroh is an iconic Austrian overproof spiced rum with a long heritage, celebrated both in classic cocktails and in traditional European cooking. At 80% ABV (160 proof), it’s a bold and powerful spirit that’s rich in character. Originally used in alpine hot drinks and desserts, Stroh’s intense profile makes it ideal for punch, tiki drinks, coffee, or culinary applications.
Tasting Notes:
-
Appearance: Deep amber or dark brown color, inviting and bold.
-
Aroma (Nose): Strong and spicy on the nose with butterscotch, vanilla, caramel, baking spices (cinnamon, nutmeg), and hints of fruit jelly or candied banana.
-
Palate (Taste): Intense and warming at first, with molasses sweetness, rich caramel, vanilla, and warm spice flavors. The high alcohol content gives a fiery sensation but the spice and sweet aromatics balance it.
-
Finish: Long, warm, and spicy, with lingering notes of caramel, baking spices, and a persistent warming heat
