Two Stacks was created by three longtime friends at the forefront of reinvigorating and reimagining the historically calcified Irish beverage industry. Reinvesting in the blending process as artisanal rather than industrial, every step of their production is done traditionally: by hand, by taste, and by smell.
Two Stacks' ‘Cask Strength' is made with the same 5-part blend of grain whiskies aged in both ex-bourbon and virgin American oak barrels (non chill filtered too) as their flagship ‘The First Cut’ "just" bottled at cask strength which creates a different profile.
The ‘Cask Strength' is showing notes of dried tobacco, grilled pineapple, and light peat on the nose with concentrated shortbread, caramel and tropical fruit on the palate. This high-octane dram benefits from a few drops of water, transitioning this lush whiskey to a pineapple-upside-down-cake dream with lingering notes of sherry & leather
