We Say A Prayer For You Today is a captioned work of art illustrating Henry Lee Battle's Take It To The Lord II which depicts four black women in a church with their head down in prayer. The inscription reads as followed.

We Say A Prayer For You Today

Lord we come together
As friends, sisters & mothers

To give you thanks and praise.
For you are worthy.
We thank you for your
continued blessing on us,
Our families and our communities.
Show us thy ways.
Bring us closer to you, oh Lord.
Bestow on us,
your wisdom, grace & peace
Guide us, and lead us oh Lord,
For we humble ourselves before you.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
