Zoo Med Can O’ Silkworms offers a practical solution to diversify your pet reptile's diet and ensures you’re prepared for unexpected feeding needs. These 1" silkworms are ideal for reptiles, amphibians, and even birds, and can double as fishing bait!
Compared to other feeder insects, silkworms have a softer texture, which aids in digestion. They also provide vital amino acids and beneficial polyunsaturated fats for your pet’s health.
Feeding Guidelines:
For lizards and amphibians: Coat the silkworms with calcium powder before feeding. Place them in a shallow dish or use feeding tongs from ReptileSupply.com. Offer a suitable portion based on your pet’s size.
For aquatic turtles: Allow them to eat as much as they can in 5 minutes, then remove and dispose of any leftovers.
Dispose of uneaten silkworms within 24 hours.
Store in the refrigerator after opening and consume within 7 days.
